Date: Fri, 29 May 2020 22:59:09 +0000 (UTC)	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <redmine.issue-16923.20200529225909.1604@ruby-lang.org> (raw)
In-Reply-To: redmine.issue-16923.20200529225909.1604@ruby-lang.org

Issue #16923 has been reported by jeremyevans0 (Jeremy Evans).

----------------------------------------
Feature #16923: Switch reserved for numbered parameter warning to SyntaxError
https://bugs.ruby-lang.org/issues/16923

* Author: jeremyevans0 (Jeremy Evans)
* Status: Open
* Priority: Normal
----------------------------------------
I propose to make `_1 = 1` a SyntaxError, instead of emitting a warning (it emits a warning in 2.7). I've implemented this proposal in a pull request: https://github.com/ruby/ruby/pull/3163
