Please allow my ignorance.
After years staying in the Ruby project, I am still not sure how to
use the backport custom field.
I can not find the custom field UI in my edit page.
Is it related to a user account [1]'s permission?
Anyone, could you guide me?
Thank you.

"Backport custom field" is only available for tickets whose tracker is "Bug".
I added that description for HowToRequestBackport.
Could you check that?

If you still cannot use it, feel free to ask again.
Since you have enough knowledge and passion to use it, both you and we
will benefit from it.

Thank you for updating the wiki page.
I checked it on Tracker: "Bug".
However I still can not find the backport custom field.
Here are 2 screenshot images I am seeing on the new and edited ticket now.

Thank you for that.

Thank you for confirmation.
I checked again and to edit backport field it needs privilege.
I think now you can edit it.
thanks,

Thanks for the work. I confirmed the backport custom field UI now, and
I was able to use it.
As a reference for someone who is interested in this topic, I added 2
screen shot images after adding the privilege, to my reporting
repository [1].
You can see the backport custom field UI in the images.

* redmine_bugs_edit_ticket_adding_privilege.png

Could you add an explanation about the privilege needed to edit the
backport field to the wiki page [2]?
It's helpful for other people who are not sure about it.
Thank you.

Okay. I just wanted to ask you to update the wiki page adding the
information about the role.
It's like "The backport field is available for role ... The process to
give you the role is ... ".

I think people who is interested in backport field is very rare.
At this time this is considered exceptional treatment.

All right. That makes sense. So, I am okay for the current state of
the wiki page.
