Hi,

I am trying to play back a wav file on a raspberry pi 1 with play from
SoX v14.4.2. I do get dropouts with the following message:

	play WARN alsa: under-run

I tried different values of --buffer but am not sure if this is
respected by the play command, or if it is just about sox's processing
blocks.

Does anyone know how I can adjust alsa buffer sizes for the play
command? Furthermore, does the play command support jackd?

Thank you!
Peter

The ALSA buffer size tracks the --buffer argument within the constraints
of the driver. Since the RPi 1 is a rather low-performing system, it is
quite possible that it is simply too slow to keep up regardless of
buffer size.

Thanks Måns for confirming this! One less uncertainty, much appreciated!
