Yes, I think so. Not sure of the best way to check for behavior/stdout
support, though (even harder to check when cross-compiling).
Perhaps just whitelisting OSes with usable+standard ftp(1) is acceptable?

I think curl(1) support should always be built and the first choice.
It's behavior is consistent across platforms and may be installed after
sox is built.
