Congratulations Betsy for taking on this big task.

My most important suggestion is that you investigate how the issues and
topics which are important for most of the community members could be
affected in the short, medium or long run by policies that endanger
their freedoms. Freedom might not be an important issue for some people.
But freedom of expression or freedom of reunion or freedom of mobility
or religious freedom might be. All these could be affected by choosing
to ignore digital freedom. Describing how the loss of digital freedom
afects other freedoms could convince many.

I am too far to travel. So I will not attend your invitation. But I
think that you can meet with others via chat (#libreplanet on freenode)
or mumble in order to have more assistance.

Good luck and happy hacking your community!
