FWIW, in the context of the Git development ecosystem, whatever Dscho wants to do in compat/ that is limited to Windows is "officially endorsed by Microsoft" enough. Also I do not think J6t felt 32 in System32 or in win32 was misleading. At least I didn't read the above that way.
