Subject: [PATCH v2 09/11] rebase: use our standard error return value
Date: Mon, 13 Sep 2021 15:19:20 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <ad940b633d08ac3e364adc7015cfc52ad0f9d900.1631546362.git.gitgitgadget@gmail.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <pull.1033.v2.git.1631546362.gitgitgadget@gmail.com>
From: Phillip Wood <phillip.wood@dunelm.org.uk>
Git uses −1 to signal an error. The builtin rebase converts these to
+1 all over the place using !! (presumably because the in the scripted
version an error was signalled by +1). This is confusing and clutters
the code, we only need to convert the value when the function returns.
