Could you please queue this series[1] which fixes the bug when using rebase
with `format.useAutoBase = true`? I sent out a v2 which addresses the
vague commit messages from the first round of review. Note that 4/5 has
a spurious change that should be removed but I don't think that it's
worth the noise of sending out another reroll.
