If there is already a sporadic mess of GIT-related information, not having somewhere "official" to collate and track development changes in documentation, etc., could be very confusing indeed. There is no guarantee these so-called "dark-matter" people would ever get around to updating anything they're currently writing which would be disasterous. -- Thomas Adam
